Alessandra Ambrosio has collaborated with Revolve Clothing on a clothing line for the holidays.
The Brazilian model has teamed up with the online fashion brand for the Ale by Alessandra x Revolve collection, which will launch exclusively on Revolve’s website on Wednesday (19Oct16). The 24-piece range includes pieces such as a long-sleeved black midi dress with a strappy panel up the side and stripy faux fur jacket, with prices ranging from $138 (£113) to $268 (£219).
“I’ve always been a fan of shopping on Revolve, so when they approached me, I decided to do my version of beach and city girls. I have some colorful pieces you can use for going out or events, and others that are more daytime comfy,” the brunette beauty, whose previous endeavors including launching her own Ale by Alessandra line full of bohemian garments in 2014 and creating swimwear and beach accessories with Los Angeles brand Lunada Bay.
The 35-year-old star dubs her new venture as a natural “extension” of her modelling career and explained despite it launching in fall, Alessandra's Brazilian heritage means she wears summer pieces all year round. Taking inspiration from the Maldives for her designs the model chose to shoot her campaign for the line there, posing amid greenery and wooden structures.
As well as her clothing looking gorgeous another focus is that they're a perfect match for the retailer’s audience.
“Revolve knows their customer,” Alessandra added. “With fit you have to go more towards the center with pieces that stretch or can be worn loose or adjusted. You want to make sure nobody is going to have to send it back.”
Revolve co-founder Michael Mente hinted that the brand’s collaboration with Alessandra could continue longer than its initial year-long length, praising the fashionista for representing the “young, arty, beautiful working mom” Revolve caters to.
