Jet lagged Amy Adams left red-faced after restroom mix up

Amy Adams had an entire phone conversation without realizing she had accidentally wandered into a men's restroom.

The 42-year-old actress has been travelling the world in recent weeks, promoting her new movies Arrival and Nocturnal Animals.

Living such a jet set lifestyle isn't as glamorous as it may seem though, and Amy admitted during an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday night (10Nov16) that jet lag has seen her do some strange things.

"A little bit ago I was in an airport, don’t even remember what city to be quite honest, and I was on the phone with my daughter and my husband," she explained. "It was a long flight so I got off, went into the restroom and was having a conversation with them and then a man walked out of a stall and I was like, 'Well that’s weird'. But I kept talking and then a man walked in and then I turned and I looked and I realized there were urinals, and I realized that I had been having this conversation from inside the men's restroom!"

As host Jimmy and the audience burst into laughter, Amy laughed: "Graceful, huh?"

The stunning redhead does her utmost to keep in touch with her six-year-old daughter Aviana and husband Darren Le Gallo when she is on promotional tours. Though being back in the U.S. means that Aviana can accompany her mother to chat shows - with Fallon a favorite for the tot.

"She’s not a baby anymore, she’s six years old. She’s backstage here, she loves coming here because you have good sweets and treats," Amy laughed.

When it comes to having treats herself, Amy insisted she's more of a savory girl, with nachos her indulgence of choice. But Aviana has introduced her mother to an exciting new food - Jimmy's Ben & Jerry's ice cream The Tonight Dough.

"My daughter, she gets treats on Friday night so she discovered The Tonight Dough and brought it into the house and now she’s really mad because when she goes to eat it there’s only like an inch left at the bottom," she giggled.
