Kate Bosworth prefers to invest in classic pieces when it comes to jewelry.
The American actress can pull off just about any fashion trend, with her wardrobe including everything from biker chic ensembles to elegant gowns.
But when it comes to precious trinkets, the blonde star prefers simple pieces which will stand the test of time.
"I’m more classical when it comes to stones," she told InStyle at the launch party for Idole de Christofle's latest collection at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City. "But that being said, every now and then I love a pale blue or a pale yellow ... I love opals as well. It just depends really how I’m feeling, what I’m wearing."
Kate, who attended the bash with her director husband Michael Polish, donned a dark rose-colored Jil Sander dress with batwing sleeves and an ankle-grazing hem which was belted at the waist.
Though Kate may love looking at sparkling jewels, there’s one piece she certainly cherishes above others – her engagement ring.
"My engagement ring is from Fred Leighton from the '20s in Paris, so that’s my favorite piece of jewelry,” she shared.
Bosworth and Polish tied the knot in August 2013, on a ranch in Montana. The couple has been inseparable ever since, appearing on each other's Instagram feeds, and attending glitzy industry parties together.
While Kate, 33, may attend a dizzying amount of A-list events, she reveals that she never tires of dressing up.
"When it comes to dressing up, I don’t have any anxiety at all - it’s actually something I really enjoy," she shared with Fashion Magazine last month (Sep16). "It’s the quickest way to communicate a feeling - culturally and individually, clothing can represent something about our time or what is going on inside us. Fashion is the most immediate way to see something evolve."
