Lily Collins is grateful bold eyebrows are back en vogue.
The 27-year-old made her film debut in 2009’s The Blind Side, alongside Sandra Bullock, and will next be seen onscreen in Rules Don’t Apply, where she plays an aspiring actress.
But in real life her career is red-hot, with Lily building up a reputation not only as a serious talent but also as a beauty icon, with her classic look and signature eyebrows making her a red carpet favorite.
"I’m very thankful the whole big brow look is an 'in' thing now," she told The New York Times. "I’m like, 'Everybody keep embracing them.' They do need to be tamed on occasion. I use the clear Great Lash mascara from Maybelline for that."
Lily has been a brand ambassador for French brand Lancome since 2014, following in the footsteps of stars such as Daria Werbowy, Emma Watson and Julia Roberts.
Accordingly, the brunette beauty relies on Lancome’s skincare products to keep her porcelain complexion looking perfect.
"First, I splash cold water on my face just to wake me up. Then I use the Lancome Energie de Vie line.
"These are the ones that work for me because I feel they brighten, and the finishes aren’t sticky. I use the facial wash, the toner gel and a cream," she shared.
Raised mostly in Los Angeles, Lily spent summers in England, where her father, musician Phil Collins, lives. Due to the sunny nature of her L.A. base, Lily always wears sunscreen when she goes out, as she prefers to avoid getting a tan.
"There’s no California tan about me. People assume I can’t tan, but I actually can. I went on a trip to Hawaii when I was younger and came back so tan that people were like, 'What happened?' It’s just not something I actively do. I want to embrace my ivory," she smiled.
