Lily James and Matt Smith are reportedly considering a trip down the aisle.
Friends close to the British acting pair say the two are head over heels in love with each other, and talk of exchanging vows has always been a subject of conversation between them.
Lily, 27, and her former Doctor Who beau started dating after meeting on the set of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies in 2014.
“They are absolutely besotted and a wedding has been on the cards for a while,” a source told British magazine Grazia. “The question has always been finding a time when they’re not both up against it with work. They’ve openly discussed getting married in the past.”
Lily is currently busy with her film work, and has three new projects currently in production, including Winston Churchill drama The Darkest Hour, opposite Gary Oldman and John Hurt. Meanwhile 34-year-old Matt has recently enjoyed success with new Netflix series The Crown, in which he plays Britain’s Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh.
“Now that the series has aired, he’s focusing on his love life,” a second source said of Matt.
Both stars enjoyed high profile romances before getting together; Lily with actor Jack Fox and Matt with model Daisy Lowe.
However, sparks flew as soon as they met each other.
“He just made me laugh all the time. I actually loved being able to talk about work. It was great that he had to propose to me,” Lily previously said.
