Louis Tomlinson's late mum's touching final message to fans shared

The widower of Louis Tomlinson's mother Johannah Deakin has thanked the pop star's fans on her behalf.

The One Direction lost his 43-year-old mom on 7 December (16) following her battle with an aggressive form of leukaemia, and before she passed away, she asked her husband Dan to publicly thank Louis' fans for their support.

Dan took to her Twitter account on Tuesday night (13Dec16) to share her message, writing, "Hi, it's Dan. Johannah asked for me to send this afterwards. She wanted to thank you all, and to let you know that you have been amazing right from the start.

"You changed Louis' life, but also her life. Your support now is as strong if not stronger than ever... So from Johannah one last time, thank you for everything xxx" followed by a love heart emoji.

Johannah, who was also mother to six other children, also expressed her desire for Louis to keep his scheduled performance on Britain's The X Factor on Saturday (10Dec16). He unveiled his collaboration with Steve Aoki, Just Hold On, which features poignant lyrics such as, "It's not over til your dying breath" and seemed to battle his emotions as he received a standing ovation from the judges. Music mogul Simon Cowell praised him for his bravery afterwards, telling him: "I respect you as an artist, as a person and your mum was so proud of you and she was so excited for the performance. She's looking down on you tonight."

Louis, 24, admitted afterwards that performing so soon after his mom's death was a challenge.

"That was harder than I ever imagined. I want to thank everyone around me and all of the amazing fans out there that made that so special!" Louis tweeted. "Feeling so much love around me and my family. Mum would have been so f**king proud (sorry for swearing mum) love you !"
