Daniel Danielson and Josephine Webb are husband and wife in real life. They are also about to take on the role of husband and wife intelligence agents in the series Mr. and Mrs. Jackson, a spin-off of the series and movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith. They may be married, but Mr. and Mrs. Jackson are truly just getting to know each other!
For Mr. and Mrs. Jackson, it's an action/dramedy that begins in Harlem. However, the series will venture out into major cities worldwide, which includes Miami, Philadelphia, Kingston, Jamaica and Paris, France. This may be a spin-off of the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith, but you didn't see Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie shooting scenes in the hood!
Janine Jackson (Webb) is a former supermodel who happens to be known on the runways and magazine covers as "Ebony Mystique." She pairs up with her husband, Marcus Jackson (Danielson), and their love-hate relationship will help drive them in their need to solve these cases. The Jacksons are two of the world's most-decorated intelligence agents the department has ever seen and their ability to interact across gender and racial dynamics definitely makes them a pretty unstoppable team.
Mr. and Mrs. Jackson will not only show cases being solved, but it will take you on a journey, as Janine learns more and more about her husband's unscrupulous ways of investigating. The series will also tackle some pretty relatable issues, as it will bring light to real social issues and nunances that face urban America, like depression, homelessness, gender equality, social acceptability, verbal abuse, identity theft and sex trafficking.
There will be a free screening of the first three episodes of Mr. and Mrs. Jackson at the SVA Theatre NYC on Sunday, May 19. You can get a sneak peek look at the series here:
For more details on the stars and producers, they actually met on the set of Blue Bloods. They not only created a healthy romantic relationship, but also a business. They own a production company titled DFC Media, which is where Mr. and Mrs. Jackson has been created. They have been working on it for two years now and beyond ecstatic to have their labor of love be available for screening soon.
Danielson has shared a season with Oscar winner Rami Malek in the Mr. Robot series. He has also had a role with James Spader in The Blacklist, as well as a co-starring scene on the new CBS show God Friended Me. He has also starred in various independent films, as well as live theater off-broadway in New York City.
Webb was recently given her first principal role by director Ryan Murphy on the series Pose (one of my new favorites from 2018). She has also worked closely as a stand-in for Laverna Cox, as well as Nicole Ari Parker, Joan Smalls, Ilfenesh Hadera and Victoria's Secrets models for the 2018 Fashion Show in NYC. She has had an extensive modeling career from the age of 16, which includes a beauty campaign for Black Opal and walking in the tents in Bryant Park for 7th on 6th. She is a proud SAG member for over 10 years.
Again, the free screening takes place on May 19 and for ticket information, follow along with the series on their Facebook page!
