Jessica Simpson has launched a brand-new line of maternity clothing.
The singer and fashion mogul announced in September (18) that she was expecting her third child, a girl set to be named Birdie, with her husband, former American football star Eric Johnson.
Now, Jessica has teamed with U.S. maternity retailer Motherhood Maternity on a capsule collection, with the range including cotton T-shirts, printed maxi dresses, flowing trousers, and coats.
"This one's for the mamas. Introducing an all new, limited-edition capsule from #JessicaSimpsonMaternity featuring elevated, easy to wear statement pieces," she wrote on her Instagram page alongside a snap of the collection's hero pieces. "Available exclusively online at @motherhoodmaternity and at the Beverly Hills @apeainthepodmaternity store."
In addition, Jessica's designs include underwear and a maternity sleep bra, a plaid maternity poncho, and a yellow duster jacket. Model Kayla Rae Reid, who is currently expecting her second child with Olympic swimming star husband Ryan Lochte, fronts the campaign imagery.
Jessica is no stranger to designing maternity fashion, having first created a range for her Jessica Simpson Collection while she was expecting her daughter Maxwell, now six.
And the blonde star, who is also mother to five-year-old son Ace, is adamant that all of the pieces can be worn long after a woman has given birth.
"(The yellow duster jacket) is going to be in my closet long after Birdie is here," the 38-year-old told InStyle.com. "When you're pregnant, some days are harder than others to get dressed (I know you mamas can relate), so I love a long kimono or duster over just about anything and have been gravitating towards bold, feel-good colors. This yellow is sunshine."
