I Love You, Man star Rashida Jones has launched a fine jewelry line.
The actress has teamed with Iconery designers to create a new fine jewelry collection, inspired from the 1970s and 1980s.
"Things have gotten so dainty in terms of fine jeweery," music producer Quincy Jones' daughter told WWD.com. "I wanted a return to Seventies, Eighties bold, iconic symbols and what better way to do it than make it yourself?"
The collection features a chain choker and bracelet set made of 14-karat gold fill and a 14-karat gold vermeil square ring with a black diamond and matching square bangle, while other items include nods to Jones' interest in ancient Egypt, with symbols such as the ankh or hamsa decorated with black diamonds.
Prices begin at $95 for a pair of 14-karat gold vermeil ankh stud earrings and top out at $875 for an ankh pendant necklace with black diamonds.
This isn't Rashida's first foray into the jewelry world - she launched a Dannijo collection in 2013, but her new Iconery line features all her own designs.
"We power and produce fine jewelry collections for influencers, designers and brands so this is not a temporal type of thing,” said founder Ivka Adam. “We work hand-in-hand with the influencer to produce their collections for them.”
"I had little experience in terms of designing," Jones adds. "I had an idea and Iconery’s been super helpful in executing and making it real.
"What’s nice is you think you don’t know what you want and then when you see what you don’t want, you can correct it. I’m obviously not a professional jewelry designer, but... I could tell what I wanted it to be.”
