Christian Siriano praises 'fabulous' Karlie Kloss at Project Runway premiere party

Christian Siriano praised his "fabulous" co-star Karlie Kloss as they celebrated the upcoming premiere of the rebooted Project Runway at a star-studded bash on Thursday night (07Mar19).

Sharing a snap of the pair clutching glasses of champagne inside the event, Christian wrote alongside the Instagram snap: "Oh @karliekloss you are fabulous and I love working with you!"

Karlie looked incredible in an all-black outfit designed by Brandon Maxwell, a judge on the new series, while Christian jazzed up his black suit with a pair of black and gold brogues.

The model and designer have joined forces on the upcoming season of the much-loved TV show - replacing Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn as host and mentor respectively.

Christian found fame when he appeared on Project Runway himself as a contestant back in 2007, and has since designed gowns for some of the world's hottest celebrities - including Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and Emily Blunt.

Nina Garcia, the editor-in-chief of Elle U.S. Magazine, is returning as a judge on the new season of the programme, and told the New York Post's gossip column Page Six she has "high hopes" for this year's contestants.

“I think it will give birth to another Christian Siriano, absolutely,” she smiled.

Asked if she has a favorite among the hopefuls, Nina replied: "I do have a favorite, but I can’t say. I do root for women more than men sometimes, although I try to be impartial, to speak honestly."

She added of the new series: "This is the most diverse cast we’ve ever had. From the judges to the models to the contestants.”

A sneak peek of the reboot, which premieres on Bravo on 14 March, showed that things are going to be very different this time around - from the way the contestants are introduced to the judges to the revamped workroom.

Other famous faces to attend Thursday night's premiere party included model Coco Rocha, editor Elaine Welteroth, who has also joined the judging panel for the new series, and actors Morena Baccarin and her husband Ben Mckenzie.
